Why use a Freight Broker?

Freight Brokers usually have the single focus on cheapest rates on the market and sometimes that can lead to extra charges on invoices that are surprises or even worse sometimes can lead to very poor transit times and service with little to no communication or updates. NFM understand how important cost effective deliveries are however our focus is in providing you with a solution to your needs. We want to understand what you send, how you send it and where you send to so we can get a real outcome driven solution to you and your business. Our solution will balance costs as well as service but compile it all into a single platform for you to quote, book, consign as well as track all your shipments and communicate with a single point of contact for all your freight needs and just pay a single invoice to NFM.

Does NFM have their own trucks?

No we do not. As we are a Freight Broker we work as the middle man as such and organise the shipments through our Cario NFM Portal. Our system shows you the relevant carriers that can move your shipment and you can book it in with them. They will then get the booking and move the freight within there network. Once delivered the POD will show in our system.

Won't using a Broker cost me more money?

In almost all scenarios if you are open to a multi carrier option through a broker you will save money. By using transport companies that specialise in certain lanes and freight profiles, you will get better efficiency in both service as well as cost wise. NFM have a significant spend as well with many of these transport companies meaning our discounted rates we can pass onto to you and your business.

Can I still use my own transport company rates?

In some instances we can integrate your rates into our system however in most scenarios if we do a thorough costing we can usually offer alternate services at competitive rates and have it all integrated into our system on the single platform.

Can you integrate into my Shopify Store?

Yes we can – we have a fully functioning app on the Shopify Marketplace that offers live shipping rates and offers your customers the ability to select depot collection, business delivery or residential delivery – our system will integrate and quote live shipping rates here on those delivery requirements. It also offers automatic consigning to make it even quicker to process orders. This is a great option if you send big, bulky and palletised goods to residential locations throughout Australia.

What systems can you integrate into?

We have many integrations available in both native and customs arrangements. We also have an API that is available that offers you the ability to build your own customisation. Check out our integrations page for more information.

I am having major issues at the moment, how long does it take to change?

Depending on the complexity of where you are and what you send, sometimes we can have a solution within minutes for you. As we have been operating for over 25 years and we are experts in what we do, we can move very quickly and get things done fast. Some carriers can be instantly activated where as some require a few hoops to jump through.

Who do I call if i have an issue with a consignment?

Speak to us! This is our biggest strength – we have common sense and will aim to resolve every query you have. As we proactively manage your freight, in most circumstances we have actually already identified the consignment you might be asking about and we have already lodged an enquiry with the transport company.
